· University of Cambridge
· University of Oxford
To support international collaboration, the School has established four international research cooperation bases and six innovation platforms under China’s “111 Plan” for talent recruitment.
In October 2019, Wuhan University of Technology, Tsinghua University, and MIT co-hosted the inaugural World University Leadership Forum on Materials Science and Engineering. This landmark event—the first of its kind globally in the field—highlighted China’s growing leadership in materials science. Key topicsincluded:
· Reform in the 21st century materials science and engineering education
· Development of innovative talent
· Emerging research frontiers
· Transformative technologies in materials and Industry 4.0
The forum culminated in the issuance of “Wuhan Declaration on Sustainable Development in Materials Science and Engineering in the 21st Century”, which receivedcoverage in a special report byNature.
