主讲人简介:Karen Scrivener is the full professor and director of the Laboratory of Construction Materials at the école Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland, and the strategic Scientist in Wuhan University of Technology.
Prof. Scrivener is a world-renowned scientist in cement and concrete. She is known for her pioneering contributions in the hydration mechanism, the microstructural characterization and modelling of cementitious materials. Prof. Scrivener has published more than 170 papers in journals with high impact and she has an h-index of 35 and a total of more than 5100 citations.
Prof. Scrivener is the recipient of many prestigious awards in appreciation of her outstanding accomplishments. She received the Klaus Dyckerhoff Award for Building Material Research in 2007 and the Della Roy Lecture award by the American Ceramic Society in 2011 and was elected as the Fellow of RILEM in 2006 and the Fellow of Royal Academy of Engineering in UK in 2014.
课程简介:Hydraulic and pozzolanic industrial by-products, natural resources and societal waste are increasingly being used as valuable, supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) in concrete. An understanding on materials such as fly ash, granulated blast furnace slag, silica fume, calcined clay and limestone is essential in obtaining improved properties while minimizing its negative impact on concrete. This one-day course offers a comprehensive perspective on this topic.
